In other cities, swiping through the Too Good to Go app is as prevalent as (and more satisfying than) Tinder/Bumble/Hinge. The idea is simple: Restaurants and grocery stores post food that’s close to expiring at a discounted price. In Nashville, so far, warm-cookie baker Tiff’s Treats is the only company offering food on Too Good to Go, as an effort to sell bags of cookies at the end of the day at a hefty discount. The app helps reduce the bakery’s food waste, says Jake Veyhl, Tiff’s director of operations. In other cities where Tiff’s operates, the cookies fly off the Too Good to Go app; here’s hoping other Nashville restaurants log in soon.
