When beloved East Nashville bakery Sweet 16th closed a year ago, the neighborhood wept. Fortunately for everyone, owner Ellen Einstein had a plan. She worked with Christen Clemins and Aaron Clemins to take over the space with their Bill’s Sandwich Palace, which for several years had operated as a highly regarded pop-up inside Inglewood’s TKO. Though you can no longer get “one to go” from Sweet 16th, at least you can sample the mind-bending offerings from Bill’s in a more permanent environment.
