Every week for nearly four decades, we at the Nashville Scene have explored what makes Music City special. In our annual Best of Nashville issue, we ask our readers to be a part of that mission.
Ahead of the Scene’s 38th annual Best of Nashville — one of our biggest issues ever — tens of thousands of Nashvillians cast hundreds of thousands of votes for the best restaurants, businesses, performers, services, athletes and institutions in the city. Our team of staff and contributing writers also convened to select our favorites from those categories and more for a total of more than 250 writers’ choice winners.
Want to know what our readers selected as Nashville’s Best Honky-Tonk? Best New Restaurant? Best Art Gallery? Best Cheap Date? Best Hair Salon? How about what our team of writers picked as the city’s Best New Barbecue? Best Album? Best Photography Exhibition? Best Chef? In the 2026 Best of Nashville issue, you’ll find all that and more.
Join us in celebrating the Best of Nashville. Game on.
About the Illustrator:
Katie Turner was raised in Tulsa, Okla. She followed her creative pursuits to study illustration at Parsons School of Design in New York City before relocating to Nashville. She was an avid reader and artist from a young age, and writing and illustrating picture books combines her two first loves. She enjoys searching for vintage tchotchkes, petting dogs and rewatching period pieces, and she lives in Nashville with her husband and their two crazy chihuahuas.
