Featuring strips of sirloin, huancaina sauce, onions and tomatoes, the lomo saltado sandwich at The Wash’s Peruvian outpost Leche de Tigre takes the cake as the city’s best. Unlike some of Nashville’s most celebrated sandwiches, the lomo is not a saucy, sloppy mess — its rich flavors are contained by buttery French bread. Get it with fries and a beer from The Wash’s Bay 6, or one of the various Peruvian drinks on offer at Leche de Tigre. In addition to the lomo sandwich, the menu includes a range of ceviches, a Peruvian take on fried rice and more worthy of trying on followup visits.
