This sugary sanctuary was created to please your inner child — or a broke college student’s stomach. Located in the front third of a 960-foot unit near Wedgewood-Houston, Matryoshka Coffee is the only cafe in the city serving Lucky Charms and instant ramen and sprinkling edible glitter confetti on almost everything. The teensy tiny hangout embodies all things sweet, and it has become more than a coffee shop: It’s an all-inclusive safe space with playful drinks, quirky baristas and colorful character.
