I want fried rice to be a satisfying meal, and yet it all too often arrives presented like a glorified side dish. Not so with Degthai’s Just a Fried Rice. Huge (huge!) slices of chicken, tofu or shrimp — along with full florets of broccoli, pieces of egg, onion and, of course, rice — fill out this substantial meal (or two meals). Black pepper brings a little heat, but the dish’s spice is mild enough for the faint of heart. On a menu full of incredibly tasty dishes (shout out to the Kra Prao Moo Kai Dao, in particular), don’t skip over this classic.
