Brought to you by the folks behind the popular Brooklyn eateries Frankie’s 457 Spuntino and F&F Pizzeria, Frankie’s brings legit New York-style pies to East Nashville. Best of all, they offer slices (though online ordering is for whole pies only). There are typically several options, including a solid Sicilian slice for those who like thicker crust, but my favorites are the classic cheese — the perfect balance of cheese, a great tomato sauce and thin crust — and pepperoni. I’m excited to check out their just-opened full-service restaurant Frankie’s 925 Spuntino, not to mention The Bottega, an Italian specialty market, all located in a new complex on Cherokee Avenue.
