Every time I’ve gone to Flat Tire Diner, it’s been jam-packed — a sign that the bites are going to be damn good. Despite how hustle-and-bustle Flat Tire is, the staff there always seems to manage things nicely. They turn empty tables over quickly, and once you sit down, you forget you had to wait at all. They make their own bread for sandwiches and burgers, and for their crunchy French toast, which is dipped in egg, battered with a corn-flake mixture and covered in fresh fruit. (Also: Don’t sleep on the cinnamon roll.)
