It’s always sweet seeing someone like Tanya Tucker finally get her due. In June, she followed up her impressive Grammy-winning 2019 comeback While I’m Livin’ with Sweet Western Sound, which reunited her with co-producers and co-writers Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings. In April, she was finally inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame — fittingly, an occasion for which she rode her horse down Broadway. Tucker told the Associated Press after the announcement that she had figured she’d get into the CMHOF “when I was dead or something. And I kinda quit thinking about it, or wanting it.” It’s lovely to know she doesn’t have to worry about that now.
