If Guys and Dolls is the only time you’ve ever heard the phrase “a bushel or a peck,” let Bloomsbury Farm enlighten you. Pick a $55 half-bushel (16 quarts) or a $35 peck (8 quarts); opt in for summer, spring or fall; pick up weekly or every other week at seven locations across town; and cancel anytime. Enjoy lion’s mane mushrooms, sprouts and eggplant, and then tomatoes, corn and cucumbers, plus extras like roasted salsa or pesto. You’ll have to brave a little repetition — there were a couple of weeks of kale so sturdy you could use it as a broom — but hey, that’s how actual local agriculture works. And this works well.
