Best Rotating Menu in Nashville 2026: St. Vito Focacceria
Though St. Vito is rightfully renowned for its sfincione — thick Sicilian-style pizza featuring chef and owner Michael Hanna’s superb focaccia — the frequently rotating dinner menu features so many other delights that my wife and I have been known to skip the pizza entirely (not easy). The daily selection of small plates, entrées and house-made pastas (St. Vito recently served up hands-down the best gnocchi we’ve had) is always outstanding, largely due the dishes’ simplicity, fresh ingredients and concentrated flavors — and by that, I mean every dish has been crafted with a laser-like focus to evoke a very specific taste. I’m an omnivore, but Hanna’s vegetable and fruit dishes are some of my faves. I never expected to obsess about a dish called “torn olives,” but here’s hoping it pops up on the menu again someday. St. Vito is also open for lunch, offering a variety of sfincione and some delightful and decadent sandwiches.
Past Best of Nashville wins: In our Writers’ Choice, St. Vito Focacceria has also been named Best New Italian (2023).
