Best Development for Mature Restaurants in Nashville 2026: Strategic Reboots

We all feel a little pain when a beloved local institution shutters. I prefer to acknowledge the people who go out of their way to rescue or refresh venerable spots that have fallen on hard times for one reason or another. While Benjamin and Max Goldberg of Strategic Hospitality deserve the spotlight that shines on them for operating the three Michelin-starred restaurants in town, they have also dedicated time, money and talented culinary partners like chefs Josh Habiger and Andy Little to refresh sentimental favorites like Merchants and Dalt’s, and to reimagine Smokin’ Thighs as Sally’s Stay Awhile. And by moving and reinvigorating The Patterson House and The Catbird Seat last year, the Goldbergs have definitely put their money where your mouth is.
