In my 20s, people went to GreenHouse when we wanted something nicer than Corner Pub, but a place where we could still slam Red Bull-and-vodkas to our hearts’ content. So I was delightfully surprised at how the place has grown up recently. While the Green Hills spot always played up its plants and light-filled atmosphere, today it feels more like a secret garden as every stepping stone reveals another alcove or area to tuck into and enjoy. Afternoons are ideal for group happy hours, date-night drinks or an early bite with kids, and once the sun sets, you get a wholly different lush, twinkle-lighted vibe that’s perfect for a nightcap.
