Best Sure Thing in Nashville 2026: Pastis
When people ask for a restaurant recommendation and give me no information about who’s dining or why, I suggest City House — and now also Pastis. Brunch or dinner, parents or friends, with kids or without, the French brasserie is as good for a date as a graduation dinner. My favorite approach is running the table with hors d’oeuvres (immaculate tartare, zesty deviled eggs, surprisingly delectable leeks with vinaigrette) and a Le Jardin cocktail (gin, apricot brandy, lemon, thyme, tonic) and chatting with friends until we’re hungry enough to order round two.
Past Best of Nashville wins: Pastis also took Best New Restaurant (Opened since October 2024) in the Readers' Poll in 2025.
