It’s been 50 years since the legendary “Judgment of Paris,” when a group of upstart California wineries finally proved that they could stand up to the finest French winemakers. To commemorate the anniversary, the Nashville Wine Auction staged a remarkable reenactment of the original tasting, and 42 oenophiles paid almost $3,000 apiece to taste modern vintages of the same producers from the original competition.
