After a few years with no actual Nelsons at Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery, brothers Andy and Charlie Nelson have returned to the industry with a new old product that helped them earn their reputations in the first place — Belle Meade Bourbon. While they don’t actually distill the liquid in the bottles, current market conditions make this the perfect time to be a nonproducing distiller. In fact, that’s how the Nelsons got their start with Belle Meade, purchasing and blending fantastic barrels of whiskey from some of the same suppliers they are working with again. Their future is bright again, and we’re glad they’re back.
