Nashvillians love to bitch about our lack of good Chinese food, but the fried rice at Golden Prawn #3 might just shut us up. The owners of East Side Pho and East Side Bánh Mì have cracked the code at this new outpost, starting with their Golden Fried Rice — made with chicken, extra egg, scallions, ginger and sesame. While I’d theoretically loathe a soy-sauce-less fried rice, leaving it out here lets the delicate, aromatic elements shine. But if you really want to lower the hammer, go Deluxe: shrimp, char siu pork, scallions, peas, carrots and that sweet aged soy sauce that feeds all true umami lovers.
