The Rep’s impassioned and nuanced revival of Lorraine Hansberry’s modern classic A Raisin in the Sun found the company at its very best, with director René Copeland gathering stellar local talent to relate the tale of a black Chicago family aiming for upward mobility. Among the focused performances were those of Lauren F. Jones, Jackie Welch and ex-NFL star Eddie George, and the overall ensemble was rich with universal emotions that cut across all ethnicities.
