Eleven years ago, a certain Scene theater critic (ahem) wrote, “Tamiko Robinson displays definite poise and presence, even if her lack of stage experience is in evidence.” Steele has since established herself as a perennially potent stage force. Her considerable talent has now graced virtually all Music City stages, including Studio Tenn, Actors Bridge Ensemble, Nashville Children’s Theatre, Nashville Shakespeare Festival and Nashville Rep, where her recent moving performance as Ruth Younger in A Raisin in the Sun was a highlight in an across-the-board hit.
