Best Art Exhibit

If you didn’t see Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson’s epic video installation The Visitors while it was on view at the Frist, the words “once again I fall into my feminine ways” probably don’t mean much to you. But if you did see it, and you’re in just the right mood, that phrase might be enough to push you over the edge into either giddiness or despair, depending on your frame of reference. It was also one of the few art exhibits to get mentioned in multiple submissions for the Scene’s annual “You Are So Nashville If …” issue. What can we say? There’s just something about a naked man playing guitar in a bathtub that really resonated with us. LAURA HUTSON
