Mild Climate is a white-box space, but just barely. It’s kind of grimy, so even though its placement in the front-right corner of The Packing Plant is prime art-crawl real estate, it maintains a veneer of punk-rock-ishness that works well for such a small space. But who are we kidding — it’s the art that makes Mild Climate so great. Helmed by the dream team of Jessica Clay, David Onri Anderson, Zach Rafuls and Mika Agari, this year’s exhibits have included paintings by Paul Anthony Smith, tiny clay socks by Bridget Bailey, and food-based social practice work by Cody Tumblin. Quite a scope from Team Climate — can’t wait to see what they do in 2018. LAURA HUTSON
