No, “Roomful of Teeth” is not the name of an episode of The Walking Dead. It is, however, the name of one of the most adventurous vocal groups in classical music. The nine-voice ensemble explores some of the world’s most unusual singing techniques. A typical concert may begin with Tuvan throat singing and conclude with Sardinian cantu a tenore. These vocal traditions may seem strange, but when performed by Roomful of Teeth, the results are magnificent.
