Best Vegan Junk Food

Graze, The Wild Cow’s new sister restaurant, proves that a plant-based diet doesn’t have to be all zoodles and room-temperature lumps of dehydrated seeds pretending to be pizza crust. Their Mac & Chorizo is a generous pile of macaroni noodles and (fake) chorizo, drowning, delightfully so, in a cashew-based “cheese” sauce. And the oven fries might be called a small plate on the menu, but don’t be fooled — the heaping pile of golden potatoes, topped with dairy-free sour cream and rich “cheddar” sauce, is a meal in itself. They’ve also got Nashville Hot Tempeh, a veggie-friendly spin on Nashville hot chicken; a bulky breakfast burrito stuffed with potatoes, chorizo, quinoa and spinach; and even a cashew-based cheesecake. So go pig out on your favorite comfort foods — you’ll still get your daily dose of veggies. MEGAN SELING
