Best Place to be a Vegetarian Dining With Meat Eaters

Nashville’s most unique (and one of its most delicious) vegetarian menus is actually a portion of the Jamaicaway menu. Just below the listing of Caribbean specialties of jerk chicken, curried goat, oxtails and fish is the vegetarian menu of of soy- and gluten-based faux meats such as barbecue soy, spicy jerk gluten, and (my favorite) “veggie fri chickn,” a vegetarian version of fried chicken cutlets. So while omnivore friends load up their plates with various beasts, vegetarians and vegans can enjoy their own kind of comfort foods to accompany the pineapple sweet potatoes, fried plantains and ham-less greens.
