Last year — shortly after the cutoff for the 2022 Best of Nashville issue — local comedian (and, full disclosure, occasional Nashville Scene contributor) Ben Oddo debuted “Nashville Bachelorettes: A Ben Oddo Investigation.” The 30-minute documentary, which is now available to watch via YouTube, is an in-depth look at Nashville’s most visible demographic of tourists. Full of interviews with sociologists, bachelorette party planners, longtime tour guides and city bigwigs, “Nashville Bachelorettes” doesn’t mock the doc’s titular subjects, but rather explores a fascinating and — to locals, anyway — often obnoxious local trend with compassion and a great deal of humor.
