OZ Arts has long been a champion of local art and artists. But spring 2023 found the contemporary arts center hosting an exciting international lineup that kept audiences coming back for more. Promising a “window to the world,” the spring season featured groundbreaking artists from South Africa, France, Algeria, Canada, Guinea and Ukraine. There were high-octane performances representing a wide range of ideas and disciplines — from music and dance to theater and multimedia. But what tied these extraordinary works together was the global perspective they provided. It’s hard to imagine a more fitting way to wrap up OZ Arts’ 10th season.
