The accessible, democratic nature of collage makes it an art form that anyone can access. That said, you might look at a lot of collage artists before you find one with a truly exceptional knack for the form. Delia Seigenthaler’s Trials & Dispositions brought the Halloween vibes to Julia Martin Gallery last fall. The exhibition avoided dreaded collage kitsch-ery in favor of genuinely spooky puppet sculptures and evocative 2D works that were equal parts Dada experiment and Mary Shelley.
