Megan Murphy Chambers has been charming local audiences for years. But she’s been particularly busy this past season, serving up a sweet performance (that tested the limits of buttercream frosting) in The Cake, making all of our wishes come true as the wonderful Wizard of Oz, and even playing everyone’s favorite “Backwoods Barbie” in Dolly Parton’s musical comedy 9 to 5 — all while hosting Sid Gold’s popular Show Tunes at Sid’s. But it was her solo cabaret show Funner that really showcased Chambers at her beautiful, bawdy best. Balancing razor-sharp wit with stellar vocals, she’s truly a Nashville favorite.
