While less-enlightened diners argue about which gourmet burger parlor is worth the two-hour wait, I’ll be noshing on Fido’s Local Burger, a longtime favorite and one of the best in town. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what sets this one apart from the competition — the blend of grass-fed lamb and beef, the gooey Tennessee white cheddar, the caramelized fennel-and-fig aioli, or the fact that it’s all served on a lightly grilled bun that gives it a little crunch — but it won’t keep you waiting for two hours, and if it did, it would be a worthwhile reward for your time.
