Best Brazilian

Though you might associate Brazilian food with the churrascaria, Brazilians are generally bigger fans of a hearty midday meal than grilled meats. And that’s the focus of Cafe Mineiro, which serves breakfast and lunch items all day and into the evenings. The restaurant’s specialty is feijoada — the national dish of Brazil — which is a stew of black beans and pork. They also serve popular Brazilian foods such as pao de queijo (cheese bread bites), coxinha (croquettes), pasteis (fried savory pies) and giant sandwiches with house-made bread. Leave room for dessert, as Brazilian-style flan, puddings, cakes and pastries are all made fresh daily. LESLEY LASSITER
