Best Farmers Market

Kids swinging, neighbors chatting, coffee brewing, guitar music — the vibe at the Richland Park Farmers Market can be downright Rockwellian. But don’t let the quaintness fool you: They’re serving the most eclectic, sophisticated mix of meat and produce in town. Over at Wedge Oak Farm’s stand, it’s Mangalitsa pork, honey-pig sausage and the best chicken you’ll ever eat. (Happy animals do taste better.) At Sugar Camp Farm, it’s funky things like garlic scapes, mustard frills or musk melon. Bonus: It’s somehow still a bit of a secret, so you can actually score a parking spot. ASHLEY BRANTLEY
