Best Late-Night Food

It took me two years to stay up late enough for Treehouse ramen, but it was worth the wait. Served only after 10:15 p.m., their tonkotsu is everything it should be — tender noodles; cloudy pork broth; crisp, charred pork belly; soft-boiled egg — and it’s topped with yummy crunchy things (corn, scallion, sesame, radish). It’s the broth, though, that’s most intriguing: a creamy mix of umami-rich spices that I swear tastes like French onion dip. (I mean, I know it’s not that ... but do I?). Whatever it is, it’s the perfect punctuation for an East Nasty night out. ASHLEY BRANTLEY
