Best 40th Anniversary Season in Nashville 2026: Nashville Ballet
It’s not often that we associate the music of Tchaikovsky with that of Elvis Presley. But with its 40th anniversary season, Nashville Ballet treated audiences to a marvelous mix of classical and contemporary works — each highlighting the company’s unique strengths. The main stage premiere of Travis Bradley’s If I Can Dream honored Elvis’ rock ’n’ roll spirit, while Swan Lake delivered incredible precision and artistry, along with the live performance of Tchaikovsky’s sweeping score by the Nashville Symphony. Wrapping it all up was Peggy Saunders’ noir-inspired Sherlock, an intriguing production that balanced striking choreography and evocative design with timeless storytelling.
Past Best of Nashville wins: Nashville Ballet also took Best Performing Arts Group in the Readers' Poll in 2023, 2022 and 2019. In our Writers’ Choice they’ve been named Best Ballet Class (2026) and Best Dance Season (2024).
