Best Locally Shot Film in Nashville 2026: 'Hellcat'
Nashville-based filmmaker Brock Bodell’s claustrophobic, Lynchian horror film Hellcat debuted on streaming platform Shudder in August, and it’s already my favorite locally shot film in quite some time. Hellcat, which takes place over a single night in (mostly) one location over its tense 91 minutes, is anchored by a forceful Final Girl performance from star Dakota Gorman. Bodell worked with an all-local crew for Hellcat, and it’s a great viewing option for Nashvillians (or anyone) as Halloween season continues to ramp up.
