Affectionately known as “Nashville’s most beautiful freak show,” Bubblegum Theater Company has carved out a unique space within the local arts scene, staging wacky, community-driven variety shows. February’s House of Broken Hearts continued that trend — offering a true love letter to the arts, showcasing everything from spoken word and burlesque to improv comedy, puppetry and more. In keeping with the Valentine’s Day theme, there was a cool Tunnel of Love projection installation. Weird, whimsical and full of heart, it was the Valentine’s treat we didn’t know we needed.
