Sarah Saturday and Dycee Wildman’s June project Afterlife was the most ambitious independent performance-art production Nashville saw in 2026. Part haunted house, part bereavement ritual, part alternative reality game, Afterlife’s interactive performance spaces hosted small groups of ticketed visitors on a guided journey through constructed art experiences and performances exploring mortality, transformation, and the pros and cons of Botox. Wildman, Saturday and their talented cast and crew built a fully inhabitable world that blended Sleep No More’s immersive theater DNA with Meow Wolf’s maximalist playhouse energy.
