Best Hometown Boy Made Good in Nashville 2026: John Early
Comedian, actor and filmmaker John Early’s career has continued to rise, but the Nashville native and University School of Nashville alum hasn’t forgotten about his hometown. Just this summer while promoting his directorial debut — the singular dark comedy Maddie’s Secret, in which he also starred — Early stopped in at his beloved Belcourt Theatre to introduce and participate in Q&As about the film. He took a similar approach back in 2024 while promoting the release of Stress Positions. Even as his list of IMDb credits grows longer and longer thanks to scene-stealing roles in feature films and television shows, the deeply funny and talented comedic actor remembers to show love for his hometown. We love you right back, John.
