Last year, East Nashville native and longtime female impersonator — that’s the term she tends to prefer over, say, “drag queen” — Tina Louise was honored during a ceremony at Pecker’s Bar & Grill for her 50 years as a Nashville performer. Though health and personal issues had taken her out of the game for a while prior to that moment, she’s now back in action at Skull’s Rainbow Room’s Drag Brunch performances in Printers Alley, not far from where she began her career many decades ago. Known for her performances of iconic country classics, Tina Louise still has all the charm and charisma of many queens half her age. It’s great to see her back.
