When thousands of beermakers flocked to Nashville for the annual Craft Brewers Conference earlier this year, local bars and breweries were determined to show them this city knows how to party. And No Quarter threw the biggest, most outlandish party of them all: Block Party Beatdown, a celebration of punk rock, wrestling and beer. While local thrashers like Christian Girls and 95COROLLA raged in the back, DIY wrestling crew Retinal Wrestling executed flying elbow drops from the Gallatin Pike pinball bar’s parking lot. The main event got rained out, but the warmup show was a master class in blood, sweat and beers. Can I get a hell yeah?
