Jerry Stackhouse’s fourth season guiding Vanderbilt men’s basketball team was his best, as the Commodores (22-15, 11-7) won 22 games for the first time since the 2011-12 season. In addition, Vanderbilt finished with a winning record in the competitive Southeastern Conference for the first time since 2016-17. Stackhouse was voted SEC Co-Coach of the Year along with Texas A&M’s Buzz Williams. The Commodores knocked off No. 6 Tennessee, No. 15 Arkansas and No. 23 Kentucky during the regular season, then produced a good postseason — reaching the semifinals of the SEC Tournament and the quarterfinals of the NIT Tournament.
