The Nashville Predators were without many of their top players in the closing weeks of the 2022-23 season, in part because of injury and in part because of trades. But Juuse Saros, the team’s goalie, was the one constant in the lineup, and the primary reason the Preds remained in the playoff chase until the final days of the season. Saros played more minutes, faced more shots and made more saves than any goalie in the NHL. He saved an estimated 47 more goals than the league average, also best in the NHL.
