The Blair String Quartet brought its Christian Teal Era to a close last spring with an unforgettable performance of Beethoven’s “Grosse Fuga.” Teal retired at the end of the season after 42 years with the quartet. He went out in high style, playing Beethoven’s devilishly difficult music with power, precision and just the right amount of fearlessness.
