Since her breakout performances in Boiler Room Theatre’s 2011 productions of Crimes of the Heart and A Streetcar Named Desire, Brush has time and again displayed her versatility — as a charming musical performer and as an actress of serious emotional depth. Blackbird Theater’s Amadeus, Street Theatre’s Avenue Q, the Nashville Shakespeare Festival’s Much Ado About Nothing, Actors Bridge’s Becky Shaw, even a small bit in Studio Tenn’s Frost/Nixon — wherever Brush takes the stage, success seems to follow. She capped this notable run more recently with an elegant turn as the attractive and clever Ann Whitefield in Blackbird’s marvelous revival of G.B. Shaw’s Man and Superman.
