Julia Martin Gallery shows work that’s accessible, thoughtful, and most importantly, gorgeous to look at. In its first year, the gallery featured David Kenton Kring — whose sculptures turn heads not just for their sumptuous, lifelike visages but for their mostly-under-$500 price tags — and painters like Megan Kimber and Martin herself, who make sweet but not saccharine figurative paintings that are pretty enough to hang on your bedroom wall, yet intelligent enough to hold their own in a fine art gallery.
