From Triple Fantasy: "Ceremony," Tracy Nakayama

The trichromatic local enterprise headed by Jack White has pulled its weight in terms of memorable concerts and record releases in the past year, from its intense Devil’s Night triple bill to releasing the debut solo album by country champ Margo Price. But its contributions to the community through other forms of expression have been the real treat, from teaming up with The Belcourt for Peripheral Visions, a series of cult and exploitation film favorites like The Dion Brothers and Three the Hard Way that screened while The Belcourt was closed for renovations, to jumping in at the deep end of hosting art exhibitions like Heidi Ross’ photo collection Ilk, and Triple Fantasy, a pop-up focused on the intersection of queerness and sex magick curated by the Scene’s arts editor Laura Hutson. Not to be left out, Third Man Books has published new volumes of poetry and announced nonfiction titles including an oral history of The Stooges as told by Iggy Pop, plus its first fiction title, Kiini Ibura Salaam’s sci-fi short story collection When the World Wounds.
