Nashville’s first local production of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s 2008 Tony-winning musical was company founder Cathy Street’s last directorial effort before she moved to North Carolina. It was a rousing success, with its lively urban feel, eclectic score and an ensemble full of gifted youthful players, including the show’s leading man, Arik Vega, and co-star Chris Lee, who not too long after scored a gig with the Chicago company of Miranda’s current megahit Hamilton.
