Best <i>Jerry Springer</i> Appearance by a Local DJ

Back in December, there was reason for dance music fans (and fans of non-nutritive daytime television) to rejoice, when master beat-crafter Wick-It was a guest on The Jerry Springer Show, that great clothesline of the airwaves. The conflict between Wick-It (who appeared under his birth name, Andrew), his girlfriend and a third woman might not have been resolved — it was classic Springer, with flying insults, fisticuffs and the stomping of an innocent painting. But at the very least, the DJ maintained his professional reputation by dropping a dope remix of the show’s theme song, complete with samples of past rowdy guests and blasts of an air horn. Said the host, “So, now we do have a band!” STEPHEN TRAGESER
