When I found out you can buy ready-to-broil escargot in their special dish at Sperry’s Mercantile, I didn’t think that delivery method could be improved upon — until I went to Skull’s. The Printers Alley spot ups the ante by creating an edible snail-holder out of mushrooms. With nature’s most infusable fungi as your vessel, sherry butter is absorbed from the top and bottom, creating an obscenely decadent delight that’s the perfect precursor to a night of booze and burlesque at Skull’s.
