Best Venue for Top-Notch Blues in Nashville 2026: 3rd and Lindsley

Because 3rd and Lindsley promotes itself as Music City’s prime locale for roots music and welcomes many great rock, pop and country acts, it’s easy to overlook how many great blues concerts happen there. While it isn’t the only place to find great blues in Nashville, the crew does it more consistently — in terms of both artistic variety and frequency of gigs — than anywhere else. That’s been true from the beginning: The weekend they opened back in 1991, the two showcase acts were the Bobby Bradford Blues Band and Deford Bailey Jr. Gary Clark Jr., Derek Trucks, Joe Bonamassa, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram and Samantha Fish have all performed there. Such celebrated local names as Stacy Mitchhart and Piper & the Hard Times have done memorable shows this year — and there’s more to come.
