Best New Free Concert Series in Nashville 2026: WNXP’s Summer Line Series
Over the past two decades, we in Music City have cultivated a robust tradition of outstanding free concerts. This year, the folks at Nashville Public Radio’s music-discovery station WNXP set a high bar with their new summertime run. The monthly free Summer Line gigs at Ascension Saint Thomas Landing at Nashville Yards (a solid venue with far too long a name) brought local and touring artists who have exceptional skill at making often-fun music that’s also super thoughtful. R&B songsmith Devon Gilfillian and rockers Bully, Blondshell and Ratboys all headlined installments. The selection does a perfect job of showing us the great parts of being a music fan in Nashville — especially today, when we get about as many big-ticket shows in a month as we did in a year during the Aughts.
